Mohair Silk Lace Weight Yarn

This is a dreamy yarn with a gorgeous halo of mohair and strong thread of silk, with 470 yards/429 metres to 50 grams. This has 70% kid mohair and 30% tussah silk.  It is milled in Canada and hand dyed in Ontario with natural dyes.  The yarn is next-to-skin soft and is great for knitting, weaving and crochet.  

The dyes are all derived from nature, and come from plants or insects.  Where possible, we source local Ontario materials.  When these are not available, we look to Canadian distributors.

Some colour variations between skeins may occur. We recommend alternating skeins if more than one is used in a project.  Although we try to represent the colours as accurately as possible, the picture on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product. 

Products made from this yarn should be hand washed in cool water with wool wash and laid flat to dry.  

This yarn is suited to wraps, shawls, light-weight sweaters, and other delicate items, and can be combined with other yarns to give a soft halo.  It is particularly suited to our Merino Silk Fingering Weight Yarn, found here.
