Alpaca Sport Weight Yarn

This is 100% pure baby alpaca fibre from Peru, hand dyed with natural dyes.  Each 100 gram skein has  291 yards/267 metres.  The yarn is next-to-skin soft and is great for knitting, weaving and crochet.  Alpaca is incredibly soft, warm, and lightweight. 

The dyes are all derived from nature, and come from plants or insects.  Where possible, we source local Ontario materials.  When these are not available, we look to Canadian distributors.

Some colour variations between skeins may occur. We recommend alternating skeins if more than one is used in a project.  Although we try to represent the colours as accurately as possible, the picture on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product. 

Products made from this yarn should be hand washed in cool water with wool wash and laid flat to dry.  

This yarn is suited to hats, shawls, scarves, mitts, and sweaters.
